How to Choose a Recruiting Agency: Your Relationship with the Agency

If you’ve never worked with a staffing or recruiting agency before,  it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the variety of services and work placements, as well as the jargon many recruiters and agencies use. Although you don’t need to be an expert, there are a few things you should know to help differentiate between agencies and find someone who will serve your individual needs. If your role is going to be onsite at the client,  it’s important to know what your relationship with your agency (i.e., employer) is going to be like.

What to know:

Some agencies are hands-off after your first day, others check in regularly.  While you may not need someone emailing you every day, it is important to feel connected to the agency in case you need assistance. Will their door be open when you need them?
