The first thing you might notice about Portland is how green it is. Another attraction is the Oregon Coast, which has miles of rugged coastline to explore.

There are a number of local coffee purveyors that pride themselves in sourcing the best, fair-trade organic coffee beans, and roasting them to perfection. It’s a trend that’s sprung up in recent years and isn’t going anywhere. Around just about every corner you can find a different coffee house that will serve you a hand crafted pour-over cup of coffee, fine latte, or house made cold-brew. You can seriously nerd out on coffee culture with a few of the coffee shops hosting monthly tastings and classes on the different types of coffee available.
Beer
According to the Oregon Brewers guild, Oregon leads the nation in the amount of dollars spend on craft beer. 20% of the beer sold in Oregon is craft beer brewed in Oregon. With those numbers, you can imagine the brewery scene in Portland. There are breweries opening up in every neighborhood and even “BrewCycles” can be manned by up to 14 people to take pedal tours of the various breweries around town. Wine
Portland is just north of the Willamette Valley, which is home to hundreds of world class wineries.
